The Sindhi Federation of Bangalore is an apex body comprising of 13 Associations.The primary objectives of the federation are:

PROMOTE & PROTECT
To promote & protect the interests of the Sindhi Community at large, by the Federation and/or through its Member Associations.

HELP VICTIMS
To assist victims of any Natural Calamity by providing relief in cash/kind/by participating in rehabilitation works Institutions doing such work.

ENCOURAGE FELLOWSHIP
To celebrate festivals and organize cultural functions which promote Fellowship, Sindhi Art & Culture.

HONORING SINDHI'S
To honor any Sindhi Person of Bangalore for his/her outstanding performance in the field of Social Service to the Sindhi Community.

In order to keep the Sindhi culture and tradition alive and rightfully show in a signature event every year organises Chetichand Mela in very grand and fitting manner . Many of our Sindhi brothers are doing enormous social work, but very quietly and do not wish to come into the limelight. They are the silent workers. They most certainly need to be recognised for their contribution to society. They indeed are the unsung heroes of our community. In order to recognise these unsung heroes The Sindhi Federation in Bangalore decided to confer the respective personalities with the title bangalore Jo Noor. This award is conferred at the annual Chetichand Mela in the presence of a large audience in a befitting manner.

VISION
The Sindhi Federation of Bangalore is an apex body of 13 Sindhi Associations of Bangalore. The resurgence of Sindhi Language, Art and culture. Each Association in its own way is contributing to the social causes of the community. To achieve an all round development and propagation of Sindhi language, literature and culture as an integral part of the composite culture of Bangalore.

OUR AIM

  1. To organise events showcasing the rich legacy, and culture which aimed to present the finest and the best that our community has to offer. .
  2. To organise literary and cultural activities involving Sindhi School, children and youth on important festivals like Chetichand, Chalio, Guru Nanak Guru Nanak Jayanti, Holi, Lala Lori etc.
  3. To organise workshops in Sindhi, Music, Dance and Theatre for the community .
  4. To organise series of cultural programmes, Sindhi Folk and Heritage festivals.
  5. To organise literary work shop for upcoming writers and poets of all ages .
  6. To organise Kavi samelans on important Sindhi festivals .
  7. To organise Sindhi, folk dance and Sufi, sangeet festivals, .
  8. To confer awards to eminent Sindhis for their contribution in the field of Hindi, literature, language and culture and .
  9. To give away, research fellowship and scholarships the students of classical dance and music and also for the students who are doing MA & Ph.D with Sindhi as their subject .
  10. To publish children’s literature and organising of children. Festival and workshops .
  11. To organise, intrastate, international function and cultural exchange programs.

Our new generation today really does not want to follow our long and tedious, religious and cultural practises in this direction & definition has identified 10 point agenda for socio-religious reforms. The reforms were adopted after discussing the same with our Brahmins and the prominent people of our Sindhi community. We humbly appeal to all our Sindhi brothers and sisters to kindly adopt the accommodated recommended reforms.
